Everyone needs someone—someone to love and to hold and love. Friends are found in the most unexpected places and in the most unusual ways, and reunion with an old love or crush is the same dramatic way. When Ellie strolled elegantly with her pink bow and white lacy dress with her tail wagging in the middle of it alongside her owner on her paws on the street of 5th Avenue for a walk, she didn’t know she was going to find what her heart had yearn for all the time since her owner adopted her and she left the shelter, and definitely not the German shepherd she had had a crush on while in the shelter, but he was the first to be taken off the shelter before she could express herself and be rid of jealousy of seeing him hanging out with the other female dogs. Ellie was adopted as a 2 year old dog, and ever since she has lived the perfect life, Her owner loved her just as she would her child, and she loved her as much in return, but she was still lonely because sometimes, even in your own home, you feel lonely, Loneliness doesn’t have to do with being surrounded by people but with being away from whom you yearn.

Ellie’s life before becoming a good and caring dog lover.
Before she was adopted out of the shelter, and even before she got rescued and lived in the shelter,. She was a lone dog, living off every leftover she could find in the trash. Her mom’s owner had given her and her siblings out to different friends as soon as they came out of her womb, Her mom was sad to see them go but there’s little she can do to defy her owner, especially when she can’t understand her language. Ellie fell into the hands of an unstable family that got divorced a year later and the one she was left with, abandoned her. That was the life she lived until animal control took her to the shelter, where her caring owner adopted her one sunny afternoon.
At first, she thought she was never going to cope or be able to find happiness in the hand of any other human, especially after her past experience and she was comfortable with her shelter life even though the love there could barely go around, but her new owner showed her otherwise, She had a very cosy bed, very good food as much she wanted everyday, cuddles, and some TV time every Friday night and she slowly fell in love with her. But something was missing until the day her owner took her to the vet after their usual evening walk on Thursdays, She had been coming up to the vet every Thursday evening for a regular checkup and there he was whimpering and fighting for his dear life on the bed inside a glassed room with his bandaged wounded leg. She didn’t know it was him at first but when she moved closer, she knew it was him, even though he was older now, He still has his luscious fur and the same sad eyes he carried. While her owner discussed with the vet, she jumped on him, stroked his face and tears fell down her eyes. The vet and her owner looked at them and seems to be blushing about this newly found affection but what they didn’t know was that they knew each other and loved each other At least Ellie was hoping it wasn’t one sided. When it was time to go, her owner carried off the vet’s couch but she stared at him till they went past the door, like a fraction of her heart had been left inside that room. Ellie pulled her owner’s clothes to draw her attention to her and her dilemma but she seemed to have something else in her mind as she hummed all through the way home. For days, she moved around the house like a zombie, only coming to life when her owner comes back home, Then she cuddled her,
feeds her but it is no longer the same and now she thinks she no longer cares about her feelings, Yet again, this was the life she would probably live with no possibility of happy ending in sight.

Ellie didn’t know what her owner had discussed with the doctor when they were at his office but she could only hope he would get better and live a much better life because it seemed life has been unfair to him too, Just like she has a nice owner now, she hoped he would too, even if that was away from her.
A week later, her owner came home as usual one evening, She saw her on the pouch and heard another dog bark but she thought she imagined that. When she opened the door, he was the first to set foot into the house, She couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw him flounce in, Ellie thought she was dreaming at first but that tail wagging and tongue waving don’t lie. She was over the moon, they nozzled each other with their noses and there was a happy smile on their owner’s face. She had adopted him after the exchange at the vet. This was a dream come true, one that had happened a million times only in her head but to see it come to life was something she had never hoped for, refused to hope for. It was purely magical and the way he looked at her, she knew this wasn’t going to be an unrequited love but one that would bloom and maybe birth new lives.
He was named Dallas, he got his own bed, his own spot in the house but there was barely a need for these things as they all cuddled up all night. The loving and caring woman saved her and her beloved. They fell more in love day by day, walking elegantly on their paws together on a walk and to the vet for monthly checkups, living life a day at a time and they lived happily ever after and her loneliness went away.
